Use of the Site

The Site provides information about fishing in Minnesota — lakes, species, conditions, forecasts, and regulations — for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the Site, including by scraping at abusive volumes, attempting to disrupt its operation, submitting false or misleading reports, or infringing the rights of others.

Accuracy of information; not official guidance

We work hard to keep our data accurate and current, drawing on public sources including the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the U.S. Geological Survey, and the National Weather Service. However, conditions change and errors happen. The Site is an independent resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Minnesota DNR or any government agency.

Always verify current fishing regulations, season dates, and license requirements with the official Minnesota DNR before fishing. Weather, ice, and water-condition information is provided for planning purposes only — use your own judgment, especially regarding ice safety.

User content

If you submit content to the Site (such as fishing reports or comments), you retain ownership of it but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the Site. You are responsible for what you submit; we may remove content that is inaccurate, unlawful, or abusive.

Intellectual property

The Site's original content, design, and compilation of data are owned by MN Fishing Lakes. Underlying public data (e.g., DNR survey data, USGS readings) remains subject to its source's terms. You may link to and quote the Site with attribution.

Advertising

The Site displays third-party advertising (including Google AdSense). Advertisers are responsible for their own content and offers. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used and how to opt out of personalization.

Disclaimer of warranties; limitation of liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
